Harry Potter And Twilight Superstars Fought At The MTV 2011 Movie Awards
Last June 5, 2011 at Los Angeles, California, the 2011 MTV Movie Awards kicked off. Jason Sudeikis of the comedic television program Saturday Night Live, popularly known as the SNL, hosted the spectacular event. Lots of personalities from the movie industry as well as those from the music world, filled and added hotness to the event. These celebrities include Ashton Kutcher, Elle Fanning, Blake Lively, Chris Evans, and Ryan Reynolds, who served as presenters for various awards.
The vampires and werewolves of the Twilight film series defeated the wizards and witches of Harry Potter as the franchise took home five awards that include the Best Movie award for Twilight Saga: Eclipse. British actor Robert Pattinson and American actress Kristen Stewart took home the Best Male Performance and Best Female Performance for their movie Twilight Saga: Eclipse, respectively. However, death Eater Draco Malfoy or in real life Tom Felton, has successfully cast the spell as he won the Best Villain award for the first part of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows film.
I guess the most shocking moment in the event was when Twilight hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner shared a kiss when the winner of the Best Kiss award was announced. It wasn't actually scandalous as R-Pat kissed Taylor at the cheek only. Surprised eh? You don’t have to worry, neither R-Pat nor Taylor Lautner is gay.
One of the highlights of the event was the debut of yet another installment of the Twilight series, which is the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. The trailer was full of thrilling and exciting scenes to watch including the most awaited wedding of Edward and Bella. I can't wait till November 18, 2011 comes.
