What exactly is rockabilly music? I've had to think for a while to reply to that question! Technically, rockabilly is an especially wild and unrestrained type of music that grew out of the roots of new bands and blues music in the early 1950s. It raged strong in to the early 60s in the event it was overshadowed by forms that grew from it, particularly acts which were area of the British invasion.
